Marios Poulos

Marios Poulos received his BSc (majoring in Physics) from the University of Athens, Greece (1985), and his PhD in Medical Informatics from the University of Piraeus (2002). Since his PhD, he has acquired over 15 years’ experience in the fields of the Medical Informatics and Biometrics. Currently, he is Professor in the Semantic Information Processing and Head of laboratory of Information Technologies in the Faculty of Information Science and Informatics of Ionian University. Marios Poulos must be considered as the pioneer in the foundation of the biometrics features of the EEG. His main research interest is in exploring the links between the biometrics features EEG and the Breast Cancer as well as the connection of the quantitative linguistics and the neuroscience. He also has extensive research work on computational and artificial intelligence with application to archives and libraries.
