Short Description:

Lectures and supervisory tools help students to approach terminology issues, the variations of “Civilization” and “Culture” and the dimension of civilization times and structures too. Basic features of European or non-European cultures are presented and typical structures are discussed (e.g. women position) in order to enhance students' understanding about culture. Historical retrospective and the approach of contemporary cultural heritage content are studied, focusing on terminologies, values, methods and management models. In this context, case studies are organized and methods and models of tangible and intangible cultural heritage management are described.
