Short Description:

The aim of the presentations in this course is to learn the specifics of the oral speech of Italian, to apply the acquired knowledge of the Italian Language to the production of oral speech, to comprehend the written discourse, to reproduce written text under dictation and to solve grammar exercises level.

Objectives - Learning Outcomes:

Achieving the above objectives will be attempted by further continuing the presentation of grammatical phenomena to cover most of the morphology. For this purpose, the Greek language grammar book for Greek students is still a necessary aid as the level of knowledge acquired by the students will not yet be such as to allow them to use Italian literature as a whole. Besides, the use of such books is a constant conviction of the teacher to have to accompany the learners throughout their course and the process of learning and even perfecting their linguistic knowledge. An important part of the traditions will be devoted to the practice of text-to-speech reproduction (the chosen spelling exercise): main material for this practice will be texts of an accessible level of difficulty, corresponding to approximately the advanced classes of elementary school in Italy. They will still be the subject of exercising and verifying student knowledge developments and grammar exercises corresponding to the morphological rules that will be presented at weekly lessons.

The level of knowledge attained after the completion of the second semester of teaching the foreign language is broadly equivalent to the A2-B1 level of the language certification qualification.
