The International Society for Ethics and Information Technology (INSEIT)/Joseph Weizenbaum Award in Information and Computer Ethics is awarded every two years to an individual who has made significant contributions to the field of information and computer ethics through his/her research, service, and vision.

The Assistant Professor of the Department of Archives, Library Science and Museology of the Ionian University Maria Kanellopoulou-Bottis was appointed as Director of the International Society for Ethics and Information Technology - INSEIT.

The Center for Hellenic Studies of the University of Harvard (CHS Harvard), in collaboration with the Ionian University, offer for fifth consecutive year an undergraduate student internship scholarship to an undergraduate student of the Department of Archives, Library Science and Museology (DALSM) for participation in the CHS-sponsored Summer Internship Program. The online submission of applications will begin on the 1st November 2013 and end on the 12th February 2014.
