The Museology Research Laboratory of the Ionian University (MRL-IU) works towards supplementing the educational process in the Ionian University, and disseminating science beyond academia.

To this end, the MRL-IU organises educational and experiential activities directed at undergraduate and graduate students, museum and heritage management professionals, and the general public.
