The Quality Policy of the Department of Archival Science, Library Science, and Museology, School of Information Science and Informatics, Ionian University, for the Master’s Program was approved by the Departmental Assembly.

The Quality Policy of the Master’s Program is consistent with the Quality Policies of the Department and the University, and fully complies with the Principles and Values that govern the development, management, and certification of quality systems at the University, as well as with the guidelines and policies of the Hellenic Accreditation System (E.T.A.A.E.), while actively monitoring and complying with the relevant European Standards, Guidelines, and any Best Practices implemented in the European area. The Master’s Program in “Management of Cultural Information” provides high-quality training and specialization in the fields of Archival Science, Library Science, and Museology within the framework of Information Science.

Specifically, the Master’s Program in “Management of Cultural Information” offered by the Department of Archival Science, Library Science and Museology focuses on the management and promotion of Cultural Information—through approaches primarily rooted in the social sciences and humanities—throughout its entire life cycle: from its creation and production to its description, circulation, organization, and, in particular, its promotion through the development of services based on it (archives, libraries, museums, publishing houses, and other organizations).

The Coordinating Committee and the Director of the Master’s Program are committed to providing high-quality graduate education that meets the needs of social partners and civil society organizations, civil society organizations, based on fundamental academic values such as academic freedom, social responsibility, and the production of high-value work at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

Through our Quality Policy, we are committed to making every effort to continuously improve the quality of the Master’s program while preserving its unique character, while continuously monitoring and evaluating all aspects of quality in accordance with the rules established by the Hellenic Accreditation System (E.T.A.A.E.) and the guidelines of the Quality Assurance Unit of the Ionian University.
